How to Find the Best Blow Dryer for Curly Hair 🌬

It's so easy to find a good hair dryer these days. A quick search on Amazon will result in thousands of matches, each boasting an array of attractive benefits. However, if you're specifically looking for hair dryers designed with curls and coils in mind, the hunt becomes a bit tricky. When shopping for a hair drier for your natural hair, you should consider the following:

• Heat Settings - Curly hair is generally drier and more fragile than straight hair, and is therefore less able to withstand prolonged exposure to high heat. Keep your eye out for blow driers with multiple heat settings so you can adjust the air temperature.
• Air Speed Settings - Similarly, too high of an air speed can create tangles and cause uneven drying, especially on tighter curls. Be sure to pick a drier that has a low speed setting to prevent these issues.
• Comb Attachment - I'm a huge fan of blow driers that include a comb attachment because I can use it to detangle and stretch my hair at the same time. Doing this means I have to pass the drier over my ends a few times, though, so I always set the heat to medium or low to avoid frying my ends.
• Diffuser Attachment - This is a favourite of many naturalistas because it's a great tool for drying curls without ruining their pattern. Diffusers can also reduce frizz and allow for faster drying because they distribute the airflow over a wider area.

• Ionic Technology - Blow driers with this function dry your hair faster by using negatively charged ions to break down water molecules in addition to the evaporation that happens as the air flows through your hair. This isn't a must-have feature, in my opinion, but if time is of the essence then it's definitely a bonus.
